TEKNOFEST kicks off in Adana, showcasing aviation and technology innovations

The Aviation, Space, and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST) held in Adana has begun welcoming its first visitors. Organized by the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the festival opened its doors at Adana Airport with participation from 128 institutions, including public organizations, technology giants, universities, and media outlets. TEKNOFEST, where TRT is a communication partner, met its first visitors in the morning. The festival, organized for the first time in the city, features a program of events for participants of all ages, ranging from advanced technology simulations to scientific workshops and exhibitions. At the festival, which will showcase the Turkish Stars, SOLOTÜRK, HÜRKUŞ, HÜRJET, Bayraktar Akıncı, Bayraktar TB3, Gendarmerie Steel Wings, and the attack helicopter in the sky, there will also be grape cluster and paramotor displays along with parachute jumps. An inaugural flight event will take place with students during the festival. A total of 790,000 teams and more than 1.65 million participants applied for the 50 competitions held during the festival. Over four days, events will include the TEKNOFEST Champions League, TEKNOFEST Project Exhibition Area, Nuclear Energy Technologies Design Competition, E-Commerce Hackathon, TEKNOFEST Drone Championship, World Drone Cup Competitions, and the International Invention Fair. Teams that received 55 million lira in support to realize their projects will receive a total of 31 million lira in awards on the main stage of TEKNOFEST. At TEKNOFEST 2024, the 'From Roots to the Future: TEKNOFEST Digital Universe' experience area will take participants on a digital journey following the footsteps of scientists from Anatolia. At the festival, participants will simulate the challenging struggle of Mehmetçik on the Gallipoli front in the 'In the Footsteps of Victory: Gallipoli Digital Experience Area,' and explore the history of the organization in the 'TEKNOFEST Time Tunnel.' Events will also be held on the main stage featuring 'Rafadan Tayfa Technological Crew' and the Culture and Civilization Foundation. The children's stage will host events like 'Science Show,' 'The Stage is Yours, Kids,' 'Rafadan Tayfa Technological Crew,' 'HÜRKUŞ-GÖKBEY Musical,' and 'Ege and Gaga,' along with award-winning trivia contests. Throughout the day, participants can experience 'Solar Observation,' 'Planetarium,' 'Space-Themed Children's Park,' 'Simulation Experience Areas,' 'Land and Air Vehicle Exhibition,' 'Moving Land Vehicle Exhibition,' 'Hot Air Balloon,' 'Bigg Tent,' 'Türkiye 's First Manned Space Mission Tent,' and 'Pedal Flight Activity.'
