Full Moon illuminates wild goats in Van and birds in Kars

The full moon that appeared in the evening sky created stunning scenes across Türkiye and other parts of the world. In Gürpınar district of Van, endangered wild goats were captured on camera with the full moon rising behind the mountain. These wild goats, listed on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, attract attention with their populations on Pagan Mountain, which rises 2,500 meters in the Norduz area of the district. Thanks to conservation efforts by the Nature Conservation and National Parks Directorate, local security forces, and the community's prevention of illegal hunting, the wild goat population has been increasing and now thrives in a safe environment. The goats, living among steep rocky slopes, descend in herds to pastures with less snow for grazing. As darkness falls, they climb back to their mountain habitats to seek shelter from harsh weather and predators. The sight of wild goats at the summit, silhouetted against the full moon rising behind the mountain, created a breathtaking view. Similarly, in Sarıkamış district of Kars, the full moon produced beautiful scenes alongside birds.
