Palestinians living in the occupied West Bank created a heavy presence at the Israeli military checkpoint separating Bethlehem and Jerusalem early in the morning to attend the third Friday prayer of Ramadan at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Israeli forces, conducting identity checks, are preventing many Palestinians from the West Bank, even those with special permits, from entering Jerusalem.
