Petrol station explosion kills 10 in Ireland

The blast occurred at around 3:20 pm (1520 GMT) on Friday in the County Donegal village of Creeslough, Ireland's police, the Garda Siochana, said in a media conference Saturday. "There are 10 fatalities as a result of that explosion.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of the deceased, those who have been injured, and the wider Creeslough community," said the company. Ireland's President Michael D. Higgins expressed his "shock" in an official statement.
