Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kaçır expressed his ambition to introduce Türkiye's domestic electric car brand, Togg, to leaders from various countries.
He emphasized the goal of not only putting Togg at the disposal of the Turkish nation, but also expanding its global presence, country by country and continent by continent.
Kaçır highlighted the significant progress in promoting Türkiye's national smart car, Togg, to various countries.
He mentioned that Togg has been successfully delivered to Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan, and that it was presented to state leaders of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, and Saudi Arabia during President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's Gulf tour.
Kaçır emphasized the historical pride for Türkiye to showcase its high-tech product, developed by Turkish engineers and manufactured by skilled technicians, to state leaders in diverse regions of the world.
"If our President identifies countries where Togg should be presented as a gift during his official visits, we will take the necessary actions accordingly. While I refrain from listing these countries on behalf of our President, it's crucial to emphasize that he places immense importance and value on this matter.
The fulfilment of Türkiye's 60-year-old dream, along with the presentation of this success story to the global audience, holds significant importance for our President. We are committed to continuing the effort of introducing Togg to world leaders.
Our goal is to showcase this national smart car to more countries and continents, thereby spreading its success story globally.
This endeavour exemplifies Türkiye's technological achievements and capabilities, highlighting our nation's capacity to develop and manufacture advanced automotive technologies," Kaçır stressed in his comments.
Kaçır highlighted the importance of low-orbit satellites as a valuable opportunity, and praised the ongoing efforts by various private sector initiatives in Türkiye in this field.
He expressed the government's intention to establish an effective incentive program to support these initiatives and help them create a distinguished national brand in the field of low-orbit satellites.
"We believe that accessing space with our own means is a valuable goal. We are discussing the possibility of joint cooperation with the UAE in a third country to achieve this.
In the coming period, we want Türkiye to become a country that can access space with its own means and also develop and produce hundreds of thousands of micro-satellites in space with its national means.
A few companies in the world have already pioneered in this regard, and we aim to raise the bar and become one of the pioneers," the minister said in a statement while referring to one of the memorandums of understanding they signed with the UAE in the area of access to space.
